The Variant Detail page provides a comprehensive view of a single product variant, including forecasts, inventory health, and per-product settings.

Accessing Variant Details

Click on any product row in the main dashboard to open its detail page.

Page Sections

Inventory Health Timeline

A visual representation of your current inventory position:

  • Red zone: Danger area (within lead time)
  • Yellow zone: Caution (within safety stock range)
  • Green zone: Healthy operating range
  • Orange zone: Overstock territory

The marker shows where your current inventory falls on this timeline.

Sales Forecast Chart

A visual chart showing:

  • Blue line: Actual historical sales
  • Green dashed line: Predicted future sales

The chart displays your configured forecast period (typically 30 days).

Inventory Analysis

  • Days Remaining: How long current stock will last
  • Next PO Date: Suggested date to place next order
  • Safety Stock Coverage: Current vs. required safety buffer

Financial Summary

  • Product price
  • Unit cost
  • Profit per unit
  • Margin percentage

Quick Stats

  • SKU identifier
  • ABC classification
  • Current threshold settings

Editing Settings

Per-Variant Thresholds

Click "Edit settings" to customize:

Changes apply only to this variant, overriding global settings.

Inventory Actions

Mark as Replenishing

When you've placed a purchase order:

  1. Click "Mark as replenishing" on the action banner
  2. Status changes to "Replenishing" (blue)
  3. System acknowledges incoming stock

Mark as Received

When new inventory arrives:

  1. Click "Mark as received" on the replenishing banner
  2. Status recalculates based on new stock levels
  3. Update inventory in Shopify to sync

Status Banners

Action Required Banner

Appears when status is "Order Now" or "Out of Stock":

  • Shows urgency of situation
  • Offers "Mark as replenishing" action

Replenishing Banner

Appears when variant is marked as replenishing:

  • Confirms order is in transit
  • Offers "Mark as received" action

Advanced Settings

Click "Advanced settings" to view current configuration:

  • Lead time setting
  • Safety stock days
  • Overstock days

These values affect all calculations for this variant.

Regular Reviews

For critical products (A-class items):

  • Review weekly
  • Monitor forecast accuracy
  • Adjust thresholds as needed

Before Placing Orders

Always check:

  • Recommended order quantity
  • Current consumption trends
  • Upcoming seasonal changes

After Receiving Stock

  1. Update inventory in Shopify
  2. Mark as received in StockWise
  3. Verify status updates correctly
