Inventory Settings

Order Sync Days

How many days of order history to import:

  • Default: 30 days
  • Recommended: 30-90 days
  • Maximum: 365 days

More history improves forecast accuracy but increases initial sync time.

Safety Stock Days

Default buffer inventory:

  • Conservative: 7-10 days
  • Moderate: 5-7 days
  • Aggressive: 3-5 days

Start conservative if unsure—you can reduce later.

Overstock Days

Maximum inventory target:

  • Fast-moving: 30-45 days
  • Standard: 45-60 days
  • Slow-moving: 60-90 days

Lead Time

Default supplier lead time:

  • Local suppliers: 3-7 days
  • Regional: 7-14 days
  • International: 14-30 days

Use your most common supplier's delivery time.

Can I Change These Later?

Yes! All settings can be modified after onboarding:

  • Global settings: App Settings page
  • Per-product settings: Variant Detail pages

We recommend starting with reasonable defaults and adjusting based on experience.

Tips for Configuration

  1. Be realistic: Use actual supplier lead times
  2. Start conservative: Higher safety stock is safer initially
  3. Consider seasonality: Adjust settings before peak periods
  4. Document decisions: Note why you chose specific values
