How long does setup take?

Can I use StockWise with multiple locations?

StockWise tracks inventory at your primary location. Multi-location support is available for stores using Shopify's multi-location inventory feature.


📈 Forecasting

How accurate are the forecasts?

Accuracy depends on your sales patterns and data history:

Consistent sales patterns  → 80-90% accuracy
Moderate variability       → 70-80% accuracy
Irregular patterns         → 50-70% accuracy
New products               → Limited until data builds

Accuracy improves over time as more data accumulates.

How often are forecasts updated?

Forecasts are automatically updated daily based on your latest sales data. No manual action required.

Why does a product show zero forecast?

This usually means:

  • ❌ No recent sales history
  • ❌ Product was recently added
  • ❌ Inventory tracking not enabled in Shopify

Solution: Wait for sales data to accumulate or check Shopify product settings.

Can I adjust forecasts manually?

StockWise generates forecasts automatically. You can influence recommendations by:

  • ⚙️ Adjusting safety stock settings
  • ⚙️ Changing threshold values
  • ⚙️ Modifying lead times

🚦 Inventory Status

What does 'Order Now' status mean?

Order Now indicates your current stock has dropped to or below the reorder point.

Action Required: Place a purchase order soon to avoid stockouts.

This is your signal to act before it becomes "Out of Stock"!

How is the reorder point calculated?
Reorder Point = (Lead Time + Safety Stock Days) × Daily Consumption

What's the difference between 'Out of Stock' and 'Order Now'?

Both require action, but Out of Stock is more urgent.

Why is my product showing 'Overstock'?

Overstock means your current inventory exceeds the overstock threshold you've set.

🔔 Notifications

When are notifications sent?

Notifications are sent at the time you specify, based on your configured time zone.

Can I add multiple recipients?

Yes! You can add as many recipients as needed. Each will receive the same notification content.

How do I stop receiving notifications?

Two options:

  1. Set the notification status to "Inactive"

Why am I not receiving emails?

Check these common issues:

  • Email address is correct
  • Notification status is "Active"
  • Check spam/junk folder
  • Scheduled time has passed

⚙️ Settings & Configuration

What is lead time?

Lead time is the number of days between placing a purchase order and receiving the inventory.

This affects when StockWise recommends reordering.

What are safety stock days?

Safety stock is an extra buffer of inventory to protect against:

It's added to your lead time when calculating reorder points.

Can I set different thresholds for different products?

Yes! You can override global settings on individual product pages:

  1. Click on any variant in the dashboard
  2. Click "Edit settings"
  3. Set custom values
  4. Save changes
How do I change my time zone?

Go to App Settings → Select your time zone from the dropdown → Save

This affects when notifications are sent.

What data does StockWise access?

💳 Billing & Subscription

When am I billed?

Billing follows Shopify's 30-day billing cycle. You're charged through your Shopify account.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes! You can uninstall the app at any time. Billing stops immediately upon uninstallation. No cancellation fees.


🔧 Troubleshooting

The app is loading slowly

Try these steps:

  1. 🔄 Refresh the page
  2. 🗑️ Clear browser cache
  3. 🌐 Check internet connection
  4. 🌐 Try a different browser
Data seems outdated

Data syncs automatically. If data appears outdated:

  1. ⏳ Wait a few minutes for sync
  2. 🔄 Refresh the page
  3. 📞 Contact support if issues persist
I can't find a product

Products must have inventory tracking enabled in Shopify to appear in StockWise.

To check: Shopify Admin → Products → [Product] → Inventory → ✅ Track quantity
